Will It Fly? How to Know if Your New Business Idea Has Wings...Before You Take the Leap

A whitepaper describing how WPF redefine the process of developing software from the Win32 / Winform era.
During the course I’m attending (Essential WPF), the instructor using this funny Dilbert strip.
For the next five day I’ll be attending the Essential Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) training provided by Develop Menthor in Woburn, MA. Today we talked about the architecture, XAML, and Layout. We also saw some examples and demos how you can implement certain things very quick, less code, and efficiently. Well that is for now, […]
Yeah, I woke up this morning and then realized that England didn’t qualify for the Euro 2008. The latest news brought at least a tiny good news that McClaren reign is over. After I read some other sad articles, I’m agree with the decission of sacking McClaren. First he hasn’t been able to form eleven […]
It happened again for the second time in my life as a hardcore England Soccer team fan: They are too weak and stupid to qualify to a big tournament, this time Euro 2008. It is sad, well they deserve this, but still sad. This always make me want to cry since I was a little […]
Lynda.com has a complete collection of tutorial videos for basic WPF and Silverlight. Go check it out.
A nice roundup about Social Enterprise. I personally think that the culture of the company and the characters of each individual play an important role of the success of any social enterprise technology. The Enterprise 2.0 technology such as blog, wiki, social networking has established it self among individuals or startups in a very short time […]
Check out an interview of Jumptree a startup that uses ASP .Net as their framework. I also found InterviewUp that based on .Net as well.
I have to say that I’m 100% agree with this guy. I also came from the classic way of doing dynamic web application before I converted my self to a ASP .net developer. I soon as I got in touch with .net framework I saw the great productivity difference compared to the old way of doing dynamic web development. But before you start using .net efficiently you need to rethink the way a web application should be developed. One of the main pillar of that rethink is the use of object oriented pattern and methodology to architect your web application.
I can’t believe it that at the time I’m writting this post, our first department golf outing is just two days away. This coming Saturday, Oct. 20th, we will tee up at the Apple Mountain Golf in Belvidere, NJ. There will be 28 players which is a great success for this first kind of event […]
It’s been a while since my last post. Bussy and I had other things to do, that is the short explanation, shorter would be I just didn’t take time for writing. In general it’s been a year with many interesting events. My parents were here. Finally even after the US Embassy in Jakarta refused my […]
Last weekend we finally deployed the newly redesigned website of The Research Foundation of CUNY, the organization where I work. Have a look at it here. I’ll tell more about the development later.
I found some nice smooth songs that I thought worth to share:
ATKMusique - Subtile Lady
Gilian Gordong - Whatever
Alexkid - Day 3
See you next time.
See this cool visualization showing “digged” website by users in real time. Many Eyes from IBM also has some interesting visualization.
