It’s been a while since my last post. Bussy and I had other things to do, that is the short explanation, shorter would be I just didn’t take time for writing. In general it’s been a year with many interesting events. My parents were here. Finally even after the US Embassy in Jakarta refused my father’s visa application, which triggered me to write the “Surat sakti” magical email to them. After that they called my father for a second interview where he only had to answer two or three questions before they finally granted him a visa. I was so happy that they were finally able to visit us, especially for my vater who left Indonesia for the first time.

It was also a good golf session. This is the first time that I really took time to improve my golf. Starting with purchasing a new set. I also played more rounds than ever. Even though I started playing golf back in 1997, I never really worked so seriously on my golf and in some years I did not play at all. This was the first time that session I played at least once a week. Now I can feel that I hit the ball better and with more confident. My best score this year was 84 at Dyker Beach GC, otherwise I constanly played low 90. I won one of the two longest drive awards at the Indonesian Golf Outing this year. In two weeks we will have the first RF SIS annual Golf Outing, I’m looking forward to it.

May this year we launched the new RF CUNY website which I designed. Overall we the executives were satisfied with the end result. Beside the website it self we also developed our own content management system, so since then I was released from the manual updating task from the previous website. The website is built on .net 2.0 framework and using some Asp .Net Ajax features. Right now I’m working on three different projects eprocurement redevelopment project, messaging system / file sharing, and event management project. End november I’ll attend the Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) course in Boston provided by DevelopMenthor.

So this is a small catch-up, I’ll write more later.
