Yahoo! has just launched the Yahoo! Shopping API (Application Programming Interface) . This will allow developers to use this service on their own web site. This API will allow you to use search functionality to search products and compare the price, etc. Here is the short description from Yahoo! developers blog:

You can use Yahoo! Shopping Web Services to search our database of millions of product offers and thousands of merchants. The API can be used to create applications that provide comparision shopping and product search functionality.

O’Reilly has just launched a new service “O’Reilly Connection“. I just copy and paste here what does this new service do:

O’Reilly Connection is a jobs and networking site for developers and those who want to hire them. Its a professional community for engineers and developers around the world, a place where they can share their profiles, find new jobs, and connect to like-minded peers.

I’ve signed up and will play around a bit to find out more about that.
