What a magic moment for me and all Liverpool fans. Liverpool FC the team that i always support since i was a young boy has won the Champions League Final. For them it is not the first time (they win the cup for the 5th times), but for me it is the first time that i can experience it live at least on TV. The last final apperance of Liverpool in Champions League Final was agains Juventus in 1985, you probably already knew what happened in that match. Well now they are on the top of the european football again. It was probably the best Champions League final in th 50 years cup history. As a matter of fact there was the first time in the Champions League Final history that a team can come back after 3 goals deficite.

When i saw the starting line-up in the first half i was a bit disappointed that Benitez did not let Hamann play. Hamann was the best player in the semifinal agains Chelsea. Instead of Hamann there was Harry Kewell who played behind the single striker Baros. Kewell was substituted by Smicer after only 23 minutes due to injury. The first half was a hell for Liverpool. After 3-0 i thought that there are no chances at all. But the goal made by Gerrard after his great heading made me believe that there is still something in the match. Then it was the magical 6 minutes of the Liverpool where there were 2 more goals made by Smicer and Alonso. The second half was definitely won by Liverpool, they controlled the game. The strategic change was that Hamann covered the back Gerrard who can improve the offensive play of Liverpool in the second half time.

In the overtime i was almost schocked by the chance made by Shevchenko, it was a 100% goal chance, but Dudek made that amazing save. At the end it was a glorious moment for me to see Gerrard lift up the cup show all the fans that never stop dreaming of that moment.

Well once again, a childhood dream came true … You’ll never walk alone.
